"The best financial decision we made a few years ago was to partner with Job Ready Services for our employee physical assessments. Job Ready Services gives our candidates insight into the type of work they will face and for us – we receive an accurate assessment of their physical abilities." -Paul Wasylkevych

WorkSTEPS ™ testing was developed in the 1980's to create a medically safe, legally compliant, scientific and objective means of matching a worker's functional capabilities with the essential functions of the job. There are now over 700 providers of WorkSTEPS ™ testing in the U.S. and a database of over 1 million tests.
At Job Ready Services, we know that employees who are physically capable of performing the essential functions of their job are more productive and have a reduced risk of injury.
Individualized post-offer testing ensures employers that their new hires are safe to do the essential functions of the job they were hired to do. Comprehensive medical information is obtained, including a full musculoskeletal exam by a licensed Physical Therapist – any pre-existing conditions, injuries, restrictions or illnesses are documented.
Each test also consists of job specific tasks which must be performed safely by the candidate. The job specific tasks are based on a thorough and comprehensive job analysis which includes observation, lift and force measurements and interviews with both supervisors and employees. Candidates are also instructed on proper body mechanics and safe lifting techniques while participating in the test. As a result, there are no surprises about what it is like to perform the job when the candidate completes the test. All testing is ADA and EEOC compliant.
There is no better way to treat injuries than to prevent them before they occur. Post-offer employment testing has been proven to prevent and reduce workplace injuries. If employers are not testing their employees, they are buying their next worker's comp claim. Employers have the ability to take control of their worker's comp costs as well as take care of their employees through functional, individualized testing.
