"Their functional capacity evaluations are professional, thorough, objective, and concisely organized." — Dr. Hsiupei Chen, Carolina Pain Consultants
Functional Capacity Evaluation:
Comprehensive testing to determine the physical capacities of an individual. Testing includes documentation of consistency of effort as well as recommendations for future work ability. Job Ready uses the X-RTS system of testing, which is 99.5% accurate in determining sincerity of effort. The results are a much more reliable and legally defensible FCE, allowing for movement of litagated cases to an efficient and fair resolution. (For more information about the X-RTS system, please contact us or visit the website: xrts.com)
For injured workers, the best time to order an FCE is at or near MMI (maximum medical improvement) for injured workers to determine permanent physical capabilities. However, ideally, the earlier you assess the worker's physical abilities, progress in treatment and consistency of effort is as soon as they are medically stable. A physical abilities or Fit for Duty test early on, may negate the need for an FCE later.
It is also used for individuals whose disability policy requires a periodic report of their capabilities. Some employers use the FCE post-placement, when they need further information of an employee's abilities before placing them on a job.
Debra Lord has received 5 awards for her FCE's.
