House Bill 709 brought about the passage of a new worker’s comp reform law in NC. In this seminar, you will learn more about those changes and how they affect worker's comp in North Carolina.  You will learn about:

  • The details of the new law and an "insider's view" of the process of passing this law.
  • The changes in vocational rehabilitation as a result of the new law.
  • What changes have resulted in experience mods for businesses and how this affects their worker's comp costs.
  • Functional testing programs and how they can be used as the most effective tool in reforming worker's comp (especially in reducing costs and disability)
  • Employment law updates and how federal guidelines in EEOC, ADAA, FMLA and GINA affect the hiring and retaining of employees.
